Southeastern Michigan Association of Neonatal Nurses (SMANN) was chartered in 1991 as the 37^th chapter of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN). SMANN is comprised of staff nurses and advanced practice nurses from many of the NICUs in the Southeastern Michigan area.

SMANN is committed to our mission to:

¨       Promote neonatal nursing practice & education;

¨       Function as a forum for professional networking  

          among neonatal nurses; and

¨       Support community efforts to reduce infant

          mortality and promote the health and wellness of  

          infants in Southeastern Michigan.
